DOES THIS TASTE FAMILIAR?

Have you ever been to a Chinese Buffet and had those yummy, warm, sweet and round doughnut type dessert?  If you have ever had one...I bet you had more than one! I have seen them labeled as Sweet Doughnuts.  My mother use to make them for us when my brother and I were young, and I make them for my girls.  I just call them Delicious Doughnuts.  Simple to make!

Heat about 3 inches oil into a deep cooking pot.  If you have a deep fryer, that will work just as well.

1 canister of 8 buttermilk biscuits
Sugar, Cinnamon or Powdered Sugar

You can either drop them whole into the oil or cut out the center to make a donut.  We prefer them whole.  Remove from oil when golden brown, drain and roll inside a gallon size zip loc bag with your choice of the above coatings.  Be sure not to have your oil too hot, or else the outside will get done faster than the inside.
